Why Buy the Nissan Titan?
Although it's not quite as capable as its domestic rivals, the Nissan Titan makes a compelling case for itself. Just a few of those include rugged and proven V-8 powerplants, imposing styling, a comfortable interior, a relatively low price, and one of the best warranties in its class. That combination is hard to beat.
What is the Nissan Titan's Towing Capacity?
When we say the Nissan Titan isn't as capable as some of its domestic American rivals, we're talking about its towing and hauling abilities. But when we say not as capable, we are comparing it to pickups that are at the very top of the market and which usually cost far more than the Titan.
The Nissan is no slouch though, with a maximum towing capacity of 9,740 pounds. That's enough for the majority of light-duty truck buyers, especially those who want a truck for uses other than commercial applications. If you do need additional capability, the Titan XD is likely to meet that need.
How Much Can the Nissan Titan Haul?
It's a similar story when it comes to the payload rating of the Nissan Titan. The maximum a Titan can haul is a pretty useful 1,950 pounds for the four-wheel drive model, but the lowest payload rating for a Titan is a still-impressive 1,600 pounds. Once again, those numbers can be significantly upgraded if need be by going for a Titan XD instead.
Which Nissan Titan is Best?
The Titan that is best for you will likely to depend on how much you want to enhance your truck's styling and features. The Titan is currently available in five trim levels, which start with the entry level Titan S and then go through SV, Pro-4X, SL and finally to the top of the range SL. All models come with the same 5.6-liter V-8 engine and seven-speed automatic transmission, so the more you pay as you go up the trim levels the more style and equipment you get.
When you factor in the different drivetrains and beds that are available, it's a pretty expansive range to choose from. But if style is high on your list of priorities for your new truck, we strongly suggest the 2018 Titan Midnight Edition. The Midnight Edition is a stealthy blacked-out package for Titan SV and SL that makes them look fabulous and offers excellent value.
